The map shows the areas of potato crop in Punjab, based on SPOT satellite data acquired during December - March 2013-14. The maps are developed under the project of "Agriculture Information System Building Provincial Capacity in Pakistan for Crop Estimation, Forecasting, and Reporting based on the integral Use of Remotely Sensed Data." The contributing organizations are the Government of Pakistan, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
