  • Mean wind speed at a height of 10 metres above the surface over the period 00h-24h local time. Unit: m s-1. The Wind Speed variable is part of the Agrometeorological indicators dataset produced by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) through the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). The Agrometeorological indicators dataset provides daily surface meteorological data for the period from 1979 to present as input for agriculture and agro-ecological studies. This dataset is based on the hourly ECMWF ERA5 data at surface level and is referred to as AgERA5. References: https://doi.org/10.24381/cds.6c68c9bb The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) aims to combine observations of the climate system with the latest science to develop authoritative, quality-assured information about the past, current and future states of the climate in Europe and worldwide. ECMWF operates the Copernicus Climate Change Service on behalf of the European Union and will bring together expertise from across Europe to deliver the service.

  • This dataset represents the second-level administrative unit 'arrondissements' of Senegal. There are 45 arrondissements under 14 regions. The dataset was uploaded by the Agence Nationale de l'Aménagement du Territoire, Senegal in August, 2021 to Second Administrative Level Boundaries (SALB) Program of United Nations. The reference scale for this Geospatial data is equivalent to 1:1,000,000 scale, or larger scale. Data was downloaded from UN-SALB site in January 2022, feature topology/geometry was corrected, international borders validated against the United Nations official borders (United Nations Geospatial Information Section - UN-Map 2018). The dataset is part of FAO's Hand-in-Hand (HiH) second administrative level boundaries 2022 dataset series, published on the HiH Geospatial Platform for thematic mapping, integration of geospatially enabled statistics, zonal statistics extraction, and used for HiH initiative geospatial analysis (GIS-MCDA, suitability/location analysis, agricultural typologies).

  • Relative humidity at 06h (local time) at a height of 2 metres above the surface. This variable describes the amount of water vapour present in air expressed as a percentage of the amount needed for saturation at the same temperature. Unit: %. The Dynamic Land Cover map at 100 m resolution (CGLS-LC100) is a new product in the portfolio of the CGLS and delivers a global land cover map at 100 m spatial resolution. The CGLS Land Cover product provides a primary land cover scheme. Next to these discrete classes, the product also includes continuous field layers for all basic land cover classes that provide proportional estimates for vegetation/ground cover for the land cover types. This continuous classification scheme may depict areas of heterogeneous land cover better than the standard classification scheme and, as such, can be tailored for application use (e.g. forest monitoring, crop monitoring, biodiversity and conservation, monitoring environment and security in Africa, climate modelling, etc.). These consistent Land Cover maps (v3.0.1) are provided for the period 2015-2019 over the entire Globe, derived from the PROBA-V 100 m time-series, a database of high quality land cover training sites and several ancillary datasets, reaching an accuracy of 80% at Level1 over al years. It is planned to provide yearly updates from 2020 through the use of a Sentinel time-series.

The database aims to provide comprehensive information on internal displacement worldwide. It covers all countries and territories for which IDMC has obtained data on situations of internal displacement, and provides data on situations of Displacement associated with sudden-onset natural hazard-related disasters (2008-2020).

  • Total volume of liquid water (mm3) precipitated over the period 00h-24h local time per unit of area (mm2), per month. Unit: mm month-1. The conflict intensity is a feature of all conflict measures in a geographical and temporal place. The primary temporal unit of analysis is the calendar month; the primary geographical unit of analysis is the region, that is the top-level, subnational, political division of the state. The HIIK methodology distinguishes between five levels of intensity: dispute, non-violent crisis, violent crisis, limited war, and war. The category of violent conflicts include the violent crisis, the limited war and the war level, other than the nonviolent conflicts (dispute and non-violent crisis), which are referred to as low intensity conflicts. Accordingly, the violent crises are medium intensity conflicts, while wars and limited wars are high intensity conflicts.
